RDG+Partners Moves into New Offices in Downtown Rochester

Professional services firm RDG+Partners kicked off the new year in its new offices, officially moving its 70-person staff to 10 Winthrop Street in downtown Rochester last week. The relocation to the newly renovated building triples the firm’s workspace to accommodate its steady growth.

RDG+Partners, formerly located in Pittsford, partnered with WDG and Streamline Real Estate Partners to redevelop the building—now called “The Winthrop”—which was previously occupied by Hart’s Local Grocers. Their collaboration on the project is part of a concerted effort to bring business back to the East End of the city.

“As a firm, we have always invested significantly in employee culture, as we know that to give the best to our clients, we need a happy, vibrant team,” said Daniel Matteo, Partner, RDG+Partners. “Our move to The Winthrop takes that culture to the next level. We have many staff who are early in their careers and will enjoy the nearby restaurants and nightlife. We’re proud to continue building our business in downtown Rochester and Western New York, and to work with so many clients doing the same.”

The six-month renovation began in July 2021 and took a total of six months. With the help of Hamilton Stern Construction, RDG+Partners transformed the 18,000-square-foot retail space into offices and conference rooms, as well as collaboration spaces, a kitchen, and an indoor/outdoor training room that features working glass garage doors. The design remains true to the style of the original building with open ceilings, exposed ductwork, concrete floors, and substantial natural light.

“Collaboration and teamwork—both with our team and our clients—are important to us,” said Matteo. “We designed the space for a post-pandemic world, to bring people back together. We look forward to our clients being a part of that.”

The property also features 126 parking spaces for RDG+Partners and other tenants, which include The Little Theatre, Woma, Arbor Loft, and Architectura. Additional space on the second floor of The Winthrop can be renovated for future growth.

Over the last few years, RDG+Partners has expanded to offer not only a full suite of tax, business planning, accounting, and auditing services, but also payroll, employee benefits, retirement, and wealth management services through Employee Retention Solutions (ERS). The firm serves clients across New York State, specializing in areas such as real estate, construction, professional services, and consulting
